Happy Puppy Ending: Jade the Standard Schnauzer
Jade was 6-1/2 years old when came to SROMN after her owner was placed in an assisted living center, and her new home could no longer care for her. Jade had been living in a kennel situation for the past 2 years, along with 8 other dogs that were surrendered. Jade is a female spayed pepper and salt standard schnauzer (SS).
Jade had some fear issues when she came to SROMN, but slowly came out of her shell! Jade is beyond sweet and loves attention. Jade is extremely athletic, and it was difficult finding a home that could keep up with her.
When Jade first arrived, she had several areas of missing hair due to malnutrition, and poor muscle mass from lack of exercise. With proper nutrition and lots of TLC, Jade has flourished back into the beautiful show dog she once was!
After much thought, and a failed trial elsewhere, it was decided that Jade would best fit in with the Schnauzer-Setter clan at SROMN's President's home. Jade had been fostered for a short time there previously, and bonded very closely to Shantel. Whenever Shantel visited Jade at another location, Jade would not leave her side. In the end, it was accepted that Jade was meant to be in their home! Jade has begun basic agility, and has began bonding closely with the other dogs of the home!
Congrats Jade! You deserve all the happiness in the world!
