Rainbow Bridge: Nancy the Mini Schnauzer
On Wednesday, April 4th, 2018, Nancy left this world for her next grand adventure!
Nancy was a great, fun loving little lady who was 9 years young when she came to SROMN in June 2014. Nancy was surrendered because her owner was moving and could not keep her. In our care, Nancy had chest x-rays to evaluate her heart further because of a murmur and had surgery to remove bladder stones and a large tumor. Nancy was adopted by a wonderful family, and gained 2 human brothers and a schnauzer brother in the process! I cannot imagine the hole left in this family without their sweet girl! From Nancy's family: Nancy was such a sweet, spunky pup for her advanced age. You might remember that we adopted her when she was 10. She was a petite, lively fireball -- the neighborhood knew her well with her very alert presence and numerous greetings. Nancy was very photogenic. I have numerous pictures of her looking beautiful and diva-esque. She would make me laugh with her diva "don't hate me because I'm beautiful," small but mighty ways. She became less vocal as her health deteriorated. She loved the company of my family and always wanted to be close by on the couch or in my lap. I loved cuddling with her. We are grateful for the 3 1/2 years we had with Nancy. I've attached a couple of recent pictures: one in her fancy daisy sweater, and one of Nancy taken last weekend, wrapped up in a blanket. She made her place in our family, and we loved her very much. Thank you so much for the opportunity to be her adopted pack! |
