Rainbow Bridge: Norman the Standard Schnauzer
Norman left this world on Sunday, December 31st, 2017, and is on to his next big adventure!
Norman was 11 years old when he came to SROMN in October 2014. Norman was surrendered when his owner unexpectedly passed away. In our care, Norman had a dental cleaning, several non-cancerous tumors removed, had his painful knee surgery implant removed, and had his quality of life greatly improved with pain meds and joint supplements. On December 2015, Norman's owner had sent an update on our favorite stubborn standard: Norman is now a pretty happy guy. He has bonded with both of us, but I spend more time on the couch with him. He loves the couch and prefers to sleep there instead of our bed. He can see what’s going on in the kitchen from one end and what’s on the deck from the other end. The window behind it overlooks the front yard. He spends a lot of time on the deck watching for critters. He showed up at the door one day with a detached squirrel tail and a very proud look on his face. He lives to eat. He would eat every two hours if he could and pesters us until we feed him. Once he’s fed he chews on some bones or toys then stretches out contentedly. He wags his tail and wiggles his butt whenever we enter the room. Norman was fortunate to find a family who instantly fell in love with him and everything about him! He was very loved and had an fabulous life! Rest in peace, dear Norman! Your mommy and daddy will miss you so very much! |
