Happy Doggie Ending: Sterling
Sterling (formerly Milo) was an 8 year old male neutered pepper and salt standard schnauzer when he came to SROMN via the Standard Schnauzer Club of America (SSCA) Rescue. Sterling, along with 12 other dogs, were surrendered by their owner in Ohio when he developed dementia and could not properly care for the dogs. Sterling had been a kennel dog for several years. When Sterling came into the rescue he needed to be shaved down, as his legs were heavily matted with urine and feces. Sterling spent his first 3 weeks at a boarding kennel in Pennsylvania. That is when SROMN came into play. We found out that 4 male SS boys needed fosters, and as luck would have it, we had a volunteer who was working in PA. On January 11th, 2019, he drove all 4 boys back to Minnesota.
Sterling is a super sweet boy, and we knew he was special from the beginning! Sterling stayed with SROMN president, Shantel, and now is the big brother to two minis and little brother to SROMN alum Jade! Congratulations on your new beginning! We wish you the best! |
